My Day in a Nutshell

Fluent Forever:  Okay, a note on my progress.  I have retained a lot of words, considering such a long amount of time has passed since I used it. However I don't feel like I am using it correctly. I have a lot of words, but how to put them all into sentences correctly eludes me. I have to work on that.

Quilting: I love piecing a quilt. I get such a sense of satisfaction when a block finally comes together.  am making sunshine and shadow blocks right now, and I love how the lights and darks blend together.  I am a beginner quilter so my blocks aren't perfect, but I'm not perfect either. I know eventually it will all come together in a quilt that someone in my family can use.

Violin:  Working on my new piece of music, is like working on my quilt.  I have to smooth out the rough places and and realize that even though the piece is not perfect now, the more I practice the better it will become.

The Lord uses my violin and my quilting teach me things about myself. When I make a mistake in my quilting and I have to rip out, or I can't quite get a certain passage and I have to go back over a particular shift again, I realize that I am not pefect and God has to work out the rough spots in me.  He uses trials to be sure, but sometimes He uses a quilt block or a concerto to help me see that Jesus is the potter and I am just a lump of clay to molded.

Well, that's my day in a nutshell.  Thank you for being  a part of it.
