Fun with Ethan and Luna
Last Saturday, February 26, Papa and I took our grandchildren, Ethan and Luna to the Desert Museum. They had such fun seeing all the wonderful animals that God created. Ethan likes turtles, so we went there first, and he wanted to pretend he was a turtle. His comment after being in the shell, "Boy Oma, it's hard being a turtle all day." For a llittle boy that loves to run and play, life a shell would seem a bit confining! Luna pearched herself on the large turtle, and was content with that. She loved the otters and stood in awe that they would swim on their backs. Of course, each new animal they saw became the favorite.
The natural settings enthralled the children too. At the zoo, animals live in cages and the cages provide a sense of saftey for the little ones. When we went to see the wolves, they couldln't see cages, and wondered if they would get out, but we assured them the animals were enclosed, but people couldn't see it.
Their comment on the way home, "This was the bestest day in my whole life!" We spent three hours there walking, and not once did they ask to go.
Grandchildren are a blessing. I just need more of them!

They loved walking among the hummingbirds. They tried to see if they could spot all the different kinds. They were amazed at the tiny nest, and when one flew to Papa's face, well, they were in awe.
