Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all my readers.  There is much to be thankful for.  First and  foremost, I am thankful that Jesus saved me and provided forgiveness of sin.  I am  thankful for a wonderful church family and pastors who preach law and gospel in  proper balance.  I am thankful for family and friends.  It's so easy to allow the annoyances of life, in my case, migraines and issues with my lungs, to get in the  way of true thankfulness.  So what if the floors  aren't all cleaned, the dishwasher isn't empty, or I have yet another headache or yet another asthma attack?  I have, as my  grandson said, "a bazillion" reasons  to be thankful.  Someone said, Look at what you have instead of you don't have.  Enjoy your day and be thankful to Him,  who gave you the day.

Finally he was free. Do you ever find yourself carrying your burden? Maybe you pray and feel good for a moment, but then you  find you not only picked up your load, but it became heavier because you  added to it worry, lack of trust, maybe even guilt.  It is o...
